The 1967 Mustang GT was a special options package which could be added to any of the V8 engine offerings in 1967 with dual exhaust. The Mustang GTA was a Mustang GT with automatic transmission. 24,079 Mustangs had the GT option. A Competition Handling Package was also available on top of the GT package and consisted of firmer suspension components, limited slip rear axle and fifteen-inch wheels with wire wheel covers.
